Guides · Executor · patch 1.03.5 (balance 1.03.2) · updated 2026-11-01
Executor: triple-status katana
1. Summary
Before 1.03.2 this was the standard: his katana bleeds, Night of the Wise adds poison, Night of the Miasma adds frost through Chilling Mist, and the status payoffs ride the procs. Players now say it has “mostly fallen out of favor due to Balancers and Scholar”, and status-resistant Deep of Night bosses cap it. It is kept as a preset so you can compare.
No relics: 270 DPS. With the core lines: 242 DPS (-10.2%). Standing with players: 6 (1 = the current meta). Model: rank pack 10350000-429b9ee52d80.
2. How it plays
Katana R1 chains (not the Cursed Sword: drawing it removes the katana’s buffs), Chilling Mist for frost, the status procs do the rest.
Decoded rotation Triple-status katana (Night of the Wise + Night of the Miasma), no relics: 270 DPS on the 8 Nightlords’ mean (level 15, weapon tier 3, 60% of the fight attacking).

3. Core relics
| Line | Players | Model value | Decoded |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting armament inflicts poison | 2 agree, 1 disagree | -10.2% | SpEffect 7120500 (engine-coded: no number in the params) |
| Changes compatible armament’s skill to Chilling Mist at start of expedition | 2 agree | +0.0% | SpEffect 7123900 (engine-coded: no number in the params) |
- Starting armament inflicts poison. The model prices it at about −10% here: the line costs 15% damage (relics.pro) to add 35 poison a hit, and the poison procs on Nightlords don’t pay that back. That is the core of why the style fell off.
- Chilling Mist (skill swap): frost. Only the earliest skill-swap slot applies.
4. Strong and flex lines

5. Curses

8. Synergies
The model finds no payoff ↔ enabler pair on this rotation that adds more together than apart.
9. The data
The biggest use, 1H Light 2-4 (3 hits a use), each hit on a Nightlord with the core lines worn:
Basis: AR 286 × decoded motion values of the hero moveset’s hits (1/1/1 hits per step).
| Hit | Element | Attack | Relics (core set) | Defense 100 | Nightlord absorption (mean of 8) | Damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1H Light 2-4 | Phys | 292 | ×0.850 | ×0.6 | ×1.02 | 152 |
Relic multiplier: the core lines’ attack rates multiply (different SpEffects), each limited to the attack sub-categories it names. Defense: Nightlords have defense 100 on every type, which keeps 0.6 of attack in the sparring tests (dps_model DEF100_FACTOR). Absorption: the decoded *DamageCutRate per element.
10. Evidence
Sources players’ tiers for this style rest on (docs/research/relic-priority/Executor.json, researched 2026-11-01):
- best executor build depth 4/5? (double balancer + invader + phys+4; blood blade; roar heal must-have) (reddit, 2026-10-12)
- Executor - Triple Status vs Double Balancers (reddit, 2026-09-03)
- Elden Ring Nightreign Executor Relic Priority and Build (Treyex Gaming, 2025-12-04)
11. Gaps and confidence
The model agrees with players’ tier order on 0% of 2 line pairs.
Where it disagrees:
- core “Starting armament inflicts poison” -10.2% below strong “Attack power up when facing poison-afflicted enemy” +3.4%
- core “Changes compatible armament’s skill to Chilling Mist at start of expedition” +0.0% below strong “Attack power up when facing poison-afflicted enemy” +3.4%
- The imbue’s −15% comes from relics.pro’s description; the decode only shows the affinity swap (state 2101). The status procs are decoded (buildup per hit, each Nightlord’s resistance and its growth after each proc).
12. On your save
The Builds page ranks this preset on your own relics (drop your save there). The Builder opens the same preset to tweak.
